Sensotrol PIR Sensor Kit - Home Care Use
The wireless nature of this kit enables the PIR product to be used in a domestic environment without the need for a wired nurse call system, thus enabling a patient to be cared for in their own home environment instead of a rest home situation. This kit is especially useful when caring for aged family members living with dementia.
Typically set up by the leg of a bed or near a doorway, when the individual moves past the sensor the call bell will be activated and heard at the receiver unit. As the receiver unit is small and portable it may be taken elsewhere in the home wherever the caregiver is located. When activated, the receiver also displays a small LED light which is useful if the carer is hearing impaired. The call bell sound can be adjusted to 30 tune options.
The PIR unit comes with a wall mounting bracket and screws. We strongly recommend using it powered by the plug pack (included) but if there is no power point nearby you may also power it with a 9-volt battery. Please note, using it this way the battery will only last a few days.

We dispatch all orders from our distribution centre in Auckland with NZPost.
For orders in the North Island, there is a flat rate fee of $15.00. For delivery to the South Island, there is a $25.00 flat rate fee.

Returns
30 Day Returns
We understand that sometimes things don’t work out or products are no longer needed, so we offer a 30 day return policy for eligible products.
To be eligible for a return, the item must be unused, in its original condition, and with all tags and packaging intact. If any item has been used, damaged, or altered in any way, we won’t be able to accept it for a return.
How to return your products
- Contact our customer service team via email or phone within 30 days of receiving your order to request a return.
- Our customer service team will give you a return authorization number and instructions on how to send the item(s) back to us.
- Pack the items securely, including any accessories, manuals, and documentation that came with the product.
- Ship the item(s) back to us using a trackable shipping service. Please note that you’ll be responsible for the cost of return shipping.
- Once we receive the item(s), we’ll inspect them to make sure they meet our return policy requirements.
- If everything is in order, we’ll issue a refund for the purchase price of the item(s) using the original payment method.

The sensor has a distance range of 5m from the centre of the
sensor. This distance tapers off at greater angles.
Horizontal orientation
Placing the PIR horizontally provides a 70 degree range.
Vertical orientation
Placing the PIR vertically provides a 34 degree range.
